There has seldom been a product as blogged about and hyped as the Maybelline Colour Tattoo range of cream eyeshadow pigments. It took me quite a long time to get on the bandwagon with these, but with such an appealing price tag of £4.99 at Boots these really don't break the bank and feel much more expensive than they are. Some have even said they are almost like-for-like dupes of the Mac Paint Pots!
I picked up Metallic Pomegranate, I'm not sure what swayed me towards this shade, its not at all something I would usually pick up, Its very dark and I rarely use dark shadows all over my lid and its also got a very (as the name would suggest) deep purple-red sheen to it. It has a warming golden shimmer running through it and on really close inspection almost looks glittery (which you can see in the photos above) but it dulls down to a pretty fresh shimmer rather than a chunky glitter thankfully. This eyeshadow was so well pigmented it surprised me, again because its such good value for money I thought the quality of this product was outstanding. The colour is also very nice, they had a delicious blue shade called Everlasting Navy which I hesitated over. These are really lovely pigments and I would really recommend them if you were looking for a high quality cream eyeshadow.
Have you tried Maybelline Colour Tattoo eyeshadows? Do you think they are a Mac Paint Pots dupe?
