August Empties - Products I've used up - Quick Reviews16:58
- 1. Maybelline Cover Stick Concealer.
I'm not a huge fan of this concealer, It kind of smells like pine trees and doesn't really help with my dry skin, I've purchased it a few times when I needed a concealer desperately and Tesco has been the only place open. I purchase it in the shade ''Ivory'' which is actually a really good match for my skin tone, I'm really quite fair skinned so It can be difficult to find things to match my skin tone.
- 2. Gok Wan 'Gorgeous' Liquid Gold Bath Essence
I got this at Christmas in a gift set, the whole range smells alot like Sanctuary stuff in my opinion, but its a really pleasant smell. This like some of the shimmery body butters in the range have little gold particles in them, I quite like that! It's really nice if you have a bit of a tan or to add a little all over healthy glow before a night out or something.
- 3. Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
This is one of my all time favourite products, I'm doing a full review on this soon.
- 4. Bare Minerals foundation in Medium
I've had this for ages, I couldn't really use it as a foundation on its own because its a bit too dark for my skin tone but it was nice to swirl on my cheeks when I felt I needed a little extra colour. The fact it adds a little extra coverage was nice too. I'd like to try this range properly in the correct shade!
- 5. Redken Instant Finishing Spray
This is a kind of light hairspray which is really good if I just want to mess up the top layers of my hair a bit, It adds shine too which I like. I hate the nozzle however, It gets clogged up a bit which is a shame because I quite like the product.
- 6. Benefit the Porefessional

- 7. Loreal Sublime Bronze mist for fair skin.
I'm one of those people that doesn't really tan, I burn pretty well though so I have to rely on self tanners if I want to appear a little less milky white! This actually does give a really nice colour on my skin but I have to use quite a bit of it to get any noticeable difference which is a bit disappointing considering the next shade up would be too dark for me. I would probably consider purchasing again if I had the money to spend on a few cans as I don't feel I would get much colour for my money otherwise.
- 8. NYC Natural Matte foundation
I actually really like this foundation. Its a really cheap 'drug store' foundation at only a few pounds per tube but the colour is actually pretty good for my complexion and the coverage isn't bad either. I often wear this when I just want a base and nothing else on my skin as It has a nice dewy finish and covers up and blemishes.
